SEQENS - The use of the virtual visit for a international industrial activity

Context and needs

SEQENS is a leading global player in pharmaceutical solutions and specialty ingredients, offering a broad range of products, services and advanced technologies. The company develops tailor-made solutions to meet the needs of the most demanding industries, such as health, electronics, cosmetics, food and home care. SEQENS has 24 production sites and 7 R&D centers in Europe, North America and Asia. With 3200 employees around the world, SEQENS serves a broad portfolio of customers in more than 80 countries, thus consolidating its leading position on the international market.

The challenges

Faced with health restrictions, SEQENS sought a solution to present its industrial sites remotely, both externally and internally. The virtual visit has become essential to make its equipment and technologies visible, especially to its international customers. SEQENS therefore asked us to develop the digital twin of its Aramon site, dedicated to the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients and polymers.

Integration on the website

The integration of the virtual visit on the Seqens website via an Iframe.

“We were looking for a solution that was quick to implement, with a multilingual interface, the possibility of adding information on our technologies and products independently, but above all a solution that would guarantee a high level of confidentiality with respect to the data collected and to have secure access. My Digital Buildings was able to meet our expectations and we therefore plan to continue developing this digital solution on our other production sites with them.”

Aline RANCONY

Communication manager

The virtual tour deployed for Seqens had the initial objective of promoting the Aramon site. It was put online on their website to offer an interactive and detailed presentation of the site, and to allow the group's sales representatives to share it with their prospects.

A key feature was the ability to add points of interest independently, making it possible to enrich the content of the visit with multimedia elements such as videos, photos, technical sheets and product information. After its first commercial use, the virtual tour was adopted for internal needs.

It thus allowed the teams to better understand the functioning of the site, to train on equipment and processes, and to facilitate the exchange of information internally, contributing to better collaboration between the various departments.

The results achieved

With an international organization, the sales representatives of the SEQENS group are required to present technologies and products manufactured on production sites different from their own. The virtual visit then facilitates access to the information they may need and deepen their knowledge of the site in order to improve customer service.

Also, this virtual visit offers the opportunity for all employees of the group, regardless of their country and position, to discover one of SEQENS's industrial sites, thus participating in the development of corporate culture.
