Since 2019, My Digital Buildings has been deploying services aimed at accelerating the creation and exploitation of spatial data for building actors. Today, the company is taking a new step in opening its research and development center in Grenoble.
An R&D center dedicated to the visualization and processing of multimodal spatial data by AI
This opening marks a new stage in the desire to become a reference in the visualization and processing of spatial building data, regardless of their format (e.g. point cloud; 2D plan; 3D model; 3D model; virtual visit).
Several projects will be carried out by this R&D center, in particular for:
- Develop tools for analysing and processing spatial data based on AI. The first objective is to obtain an automatic structuring of buildings (detection of the footprint, division into levels, rooms).
- Allow building actors to centralize, visualize and exploit this spatial data, in representation modes adapted to their uses.
My Digital Buildings intends to bring innovations that echo its mission: “to enable building actors to better build, operate and renovate by relying on reliable and always accessible spatial data”.
Grenoble: a pioneer city for technological innovation
Choosing to develop an R&D center in Grenoble is no coincidence. The Grenoble ecosystem is recognized as one of the most dynamic and innovative in France and Europe, with a large number of companies and laboratories in artificial intelligence, 3D and sensors for example.

And to complete the panorama, large industrial companies, such as STMicroelectronics, Soitec, or even Schneider Electric, have research and production centers there.
