What is a BIM object?

A BIM object is a digital representation of a building element in 3 dimensions. It is characterized by its geometry, which will make it possible to identify its physical aspect, but also by its informative properties (e.g. material property, lifespan, etc.). A BIM digital model will be composed of a multitude of BIM objects.
