SEQENS, a global player in pharmaceuticals and specialty chemicals, has a wide range of products and technologies at its 24 production sites around the world. Faced with the health crisis, which made travel difficult, the company was looking for a solution to maintain the visibility of its infrastructures, both for its teams and for its international customers.

To meet this need, SEQENS asked us to develop the digital twin from its Aramon site, which specializes in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients. The objective was to create a solution of virtual tour accessible, allowing the group's equipment and advanced technologies to be presented remotely.

Our solution
01
Fast scanning
Several pharmaceutical industrial buildings digitized with a dynamic scanner.
02
An online virtual tour
A virtual tour accessible from the web in a secure and multilingual interface.
03
Addition of points of interest
Allowing you to add multimedia content to the virtual tour and enhance the site.
04
Integration on the website
The integration of the virtual visit on the Seqens website via an Iframe.

Remote access to the site via digital technology

My Digital Buildings was selected to create a virtual tour of six buildings on the Aramon site, covering a total area of 10,000 m². For this, we used our NavVis M6 mobile scanner, capable of simultaneously capturing the 3D footprint of buildings (in the form of a point cloud) and a set of panoramic HD photos.

All of this data was then combined to form a Collaborative digital double, made available on our web platform.

In order to offer a global view of the infrastructures, aerial views were also captured by drone and integrated into the digital twin. This approach makes it possible to make navigation between buildings more intuitive and to improve the understanding of the structure of the site.

The use of the virtual tour

A tool for promoting the site and know-how

The virtual visit has become a key support for the commercial development of SEQENS. Presented at the group's annual seminar, it is now a prospecting tool for salespeople. Broadcast online on the company's website, it allows prospects and customers to request a remote guided tour.

Thanks to our platform, SEQENS can add points of interest independently, enriching the visit with media (videos, photos, technical sheets, etc.). This offers unprecedented visibility on the group's technologies and know-how.

Simplified communication and internal training

Beyond commercial uses, the digital twin of the Aramon site also serves as an internal communication and training medium. For an international organization like SEQENS, the virtual visit facilitates access to information and allows teams to deepen their knowledge of production sites, thus improving the quality of customer service.

The virtual visit also reinforces corporate culture by allowing all employees, wherever they are, to discover the group's infrastructures. In terms of training, SEQENS plans to use this tool to:

  • The integration of new collaborators : allow them to visit the site remotely and discover the technologies.
  • Employee training : present the site, the standards and the safety rules.
  • Communication with the student world : offer school students a virtual tour of industrial sites.

We were looking for a solution that was quick to implement, with a multilingual interface, the possibility of adding information on our technologies and products independently, but above all a solution that would guarantee a high level of confidentiality with respect to the data collected and to have secure access.

My Digital Buildings was able to meet our expectations and we therefore plan to continue developing this digital solution on our other production sites with them.
